Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things about you or your visit, such as whether you're logged in.
Right now, Tinkr's website only uses essential cookies. Under GDPR (and the ePrivacy Directive), essential cookies don't require your consent because the site can't function without them — but we still tell you about them here for transparency.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session/Auth Token | Essential | Keeps you logged in as you move between pages | Session (deleted when you close your browser) or up to 30 days if you choose "stay signed in" |
| Cookie Consent Choice | Essential | Remembers your advertising choice in Google's consent message, so it doesn't ask again every visit (set by Google, only when ads are on) | Up to 13 months |
| CSRF Protection Token | Essential | Protects your account against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
Tinkr may show an ad from Google AdSense in the task feed. When ads are switched on, EU visitors first see Google's consent message (a consent tool certified by Google under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework). Google only uses advertising cookies, and only shows personalised ads, if you agree there. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, without advertising cookies. Google's use of this data is described in Google's advertising policy.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see below).
The Tinkr font is served from tinkr.care itself, so loading the site does not contact Google Fonts.
You can change your advertising choice at any time in the app under Settings → Cookie Settings, which reopens Google's consent message. You can also block or delete cookies directly through your browser settings, though doing so may prevent you from staying logged in.
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy, contact us at privacy@tinkr.care. For more on how we handle your personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
